Jane has performed extensively as an orchestral and chamber musician across England. Jane's orchestral work includes principal positions with Thames Philharmonia (2004-2006), Norfolk Youth Orchestra, guest leader of the Dorking Philharmonia, and principal 2nd violin positions with Dartington Festival Orchestra, City of Canterbury Sinfonia, London Shostakovich orchestra, London Phoenix Orchestra, Brent Symphony Orchestra and Norfolk Symphony Orchestra.
Jane has also performed with the RAM Festival Orchestra, Minehead Festival Orchestra, London Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, Amadeus Orchestra (tour to China 2006-07), Albemarle Orchestra, Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonietta of Oxted, Midlands Sinfonia, Tempus Orchestra, Connecting Arts, Essex Concert Orchestra, Richmond Chamber Symphony, Westmorland Orchestra, Woking Symphony Orchestra, Camerata of London, University of East Anglia Symphony Orchestra, Surrey University Orchestra, Kingston University Orchestra, Kensington Symphony Orchestra, Rehearsal Orchestra, Forest Philharmonic and Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra.
Jane's opera work includes Opera de Baugé (co-leader), Dartington Festival Orchestra, Park Opera, The Carmen Project, Chelsea Opera Group and Windsor & Eton Operatic Society, and has included several performances of Bizet Carmen, Donizetti Don Pasquale, Gilbert & Sullivan The Gondoliers, Trial by Jury, Iolanthe, Gluck Orfeo & Euridice, Handel Rodelinda, Riccardo Primo, Theodora, Mozart Cosi Fan Tutte, Don Giovanni, Idomeneo, Magic Flute, Abduction from the Seraglio, Puccini La Boheme, Turandot, Purcell Dido & Aeneas, Rossini The Barber of Seville, Stravinsky The Rake's Progress, Tchaikovsky Eugene Onegin.
Upcoming engagements include playing with the London Concert Orchestra and Jane has also accepted an invitation to play with the Seychelles International Festival Orchestra in 2009.
Jane studied at the University of Nottingham where she played in all the orchestras and many chamber ensembles, including tours of Prague, Vienna and Budapest. She holds a diploma of the Associated Board (DipABRSM) in violin performance, and was an associate student of the London College of Music for two years.
