Jane MacArthur qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 2002, after completing her training with a top 40 practice in Norfolk. She has nine years experience of dealing with the full range of small business and individual accounting and tax needs. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics. Jane combines the day to day work of Amati UK with a busy diary of freelance playing. She recently passed the diploma of the ABRSM in violin performance, gave a solo performance in Amsterdam, and toured China with the Amadeus Orchestra. In 2008, she will play in the Seychelles with the International Festival Orchestra, and her piano trio will be performing on a cruise to the north cape. She is co-leader of Opera de Bauge, has been principal 2nd violin of Dartington Festival Orchestra, London Phoenix Orchestra, London Shostakovich Orchestra, Norfolk Symphony Orchestra and Brent Symphony Orchestra and plays regularly with Jersey Symphony Orchestra in the Channel Islands. Other playing includes the Oxted Sinfonietta, Midlands Sinfonia, Connecting Arts, Windsor & Eton Opera, Park Opera, and the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. Amati UK understands and specialises in services for musicians, and deals with accounts and personal tax for over 30 musicians. Amati UK is also the accountant for the National Youth Strings Academy, and Jane MacArthur is a trustee of the Rehearsal Orchestra. |
